About the Client: Our client provides contracted management services to the healthcare industry.  The leadership team has deep roots in the industry and an enviable track record of success, replicated across three different companies.  Our client’s combined entrepreneurial spirit, patented service solution and solid financial backing translates to a winning formula with significant upside potential.  With a managed staff of over 4,000 employees and over $200 million in annual managed volume, our client is on the move and poised for continued aggressive growth over the next 3-5 years.

About the Position: The VP Sales, Southeast will develop new client relationships in the Southeastern United States, focused exclusively on the healthcare solutions market.  This is a complex, highly consultative, service based sales environment.  We are looking for a strong, professional sales executive with a track record of closing multi-million dollar, multi-year deals, ideally $10 million in annually recurring value.  Although the sales process involves people at several levels in the client organization, it starts in the C-suite.  Experience selling at this level is critical to success in the role.

About the Opportunity: This newly created position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer; the Southeast territory is a prime location for the kinds of services our client sells into acute care hospitals and medical systems. There are currently no direct reports but the expectation is that the successful candidate will drive have the opportunity to drive business volumes which warrant building out a sales team over time.

Requirements: In addition to a proven track record of performing all or most of the responsibilities above, the successful candidate must meet the following qualifications and experience requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a consultative sales environment within the healthcare industry selling into the C-suite. Experience in an outsourced, managed services environment preferred.
  • Solid management skills and business acumen with experience in developing sales plans, forecasts and budgets.
  • Outstanding personal track record for closing business at the C-level.  Must have successful experience selling in a high-ticket, multi-year contract environment.
  • Ability to travel extensively (60%) throughout the region.
  • Please note that experience selling at the C-Level into hospitals in the Southeastern U.S. is a mandatory requirement.
